Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Fire Alarm Technician will mainly ensure programming of fire alarm systems, but also proceed with inspection, maintenance, and emergency service.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Programming, inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems;
Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems following inspection;
Preparation of inspection, and deficiencies reports in a timely manner;
Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.
Success Factors
Diploma in Fire Protection Technology/Technologist;
Valid CFAA certification (an asset);
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in programming fire alarm systems and panels ;
Knowledge and/or experience with Notifier products/panels (strong asset);
Valid driver’s license;
Ability to work well independently;
Strong customer service skills.
