As Outside Sanitation you will be responsible for maintaining the mill premises in a sanitary condition. You will also be responsible for cleaning rail cars safely and efficiently while adhering to company and customer requirements. This position is a 16-month term.
DutiesResponsibilities:

Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary facility by completing tasks outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule.

Perform equipment and structural cleaning to support food safety, HACCP, and regulatory compliance.

Clean railcars safely and efficiently while meeting company and customer standards.

Inspect, apply, document, and verify vessel seals.
-
Operate rail equipment, including assisting with switching operations, coupling and uncoupling railcars, and moving railcars using specialized equipment.

Operate a variety of powered equipment including tractors, skid steers, forklifts, aerial lifts, loaders, sweepers, snow removal equipment, and other mobile equipment.

Complete general grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, litter removal, vegetation control, and snow removal.

Perform deep cleaning of production equipment.

Properly maintain sanitation tools and equipment.

Report sanitation, maintenance, and pest control concerns promptly.

Complete required documentation and work orders accurately.

Work collaboratively with the Sanitation, Bulk Load-Out, Production, and Maintenance teams.

Follow all company policies related to safety, food safety, GMPs, environmental standards, and ethical conduct.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Experience operating powered mobile equipment.

Ability to obtain required certifications and licenses related to rail operations and equipment.

Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Ability to follow written procedures and accurately complete documentation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, sanitation practices, or pest control is considered an asset.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
-
Ability to repeatedly climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in a grain processing environment with exposure to dust, gluten, allergens, and varying temperatures.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, when required.
Hours of work
This position will be working 8hr/DAY Monday – Friday schedule.
