We are looking for a skilled, hands-on Landscape Foreman / Hardscape Specialist to lead and complete custom residential landscaping projects across the Greater Toronto Area.
Our main focus is interlock, retaining walls, hardscaping, grading, base preparation, concrete work, and outdoor construction. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage both small 1–2 day projects and larger projects that may take 1–2 weeks or more.
Main Responsibilities
On-Site Leadership
Lead and work directly with a crew of 2–5+ workers on residential landscaping projects.
Project Execution
Complete projects from start to finish, including demolition, excavation, grading, base preparation, interlock installation, retaining walls, concrete work, drainage, and site cleanup.
Hardscape Specialization
Strong experience with interlock and retaining walls is required. Experience with concrete, steps, flagstone, drainage, and softscape is an asset.
Reading Plans & Layouts
Understand landscape drawings, measurements, elevations, and project layouts to ensure the work is completed according to the design and specifications.
Site Organization
Coordinate materials, equipment, tools, deliveries, and daily workflow to keep the job site clean, safe, and productive.
Quality Control
Maintain a high standard of workmanship during every stage of the project — not only the final result, but also the proper process, base preparation, compaction, grading, drainage, and installation methods.
Communication
Provide updates to management regarding project progress, materials needed, timelines, site issues, and any changes required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in landscape construction / hardscaping.
- Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or experienced Hardscape Installer.
- Strong practical knowledge of:
- Interlock installation
- Retaining walls
- Excavation and grading
- Base preparation and compaction
- Concrete work
- Drainage / French drains
- Steps, flagstone, and general hardscape features
- Ability to manage both small and larger residential projects.
- Confidence operating equipment such as mini skid steer, excavator, plate compactor, saws, and other landscaping tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Pickup truck is highly preferred. Compensation can be discussed for using your own pickup truck for work-related needs.
- Must be reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Must take pride in clean, professional work.
Portfolio Required
Applicants must provide a portfolio or photos/videos of previous work.

- Base preparation

- Compaction
- Grading
- Drainage
- Retaining wall construction
- Interlock installation process
- Before / during / after photos
Compensation
Pay depends on experience, skill level, tools, truck availability, and project responsibility.
Compensation options may include:
- Hourly pay
- Project-based pay
- Compensation for using your own pickup truck, if applicable
Typical pay range: $27–$40/hour, depending on experience and ability.
