Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and organized Tandoor Cook or Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and ensuring food is prepared in accordance with safety and hygiene standards. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Experience in operating and managing the tandoor (for Tandoor Cook role), including baking breads (naan, roti) and cooking meats and skewering
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Ensure food preparation is timely, consistent, and meets quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.
Requirements for Line Cook
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant environment is a MUST.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, especially for chopping, grilling and skewering (MUST)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Eligibility to work full-time in Canada.
- Experience in inventory management is an asset.
Requirements for Tandooria
- Proven experience as a Tandoor Cook or Line Cook in a restaurant environment is a MUST.
