Job Overview:
Sea Salt Seafood Café is looking for a teachable Sea Food Boil / Fryer Specialist with the ability to work hard, efficient, and in a team environment, while delivering a flavorful, high-quality food experience. Candidate must have strong kitchen prep skills and experience on a line to join our back-of-house team.
A love for food — especially seafood — and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are a must. We are looking for problem solvers.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality food consistently, efficiently, and in accordance with food safety standards
- Stay organized and focused in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Work both independently and as part of a team to support smooth service and prep flow
Essential Duties:
- Set up and stock prep stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies
- Follow prep instructions and recipes accurately to prepare food for service
- Keep a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
- Follow all safe food handling and hygiene standards
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all ingredients
- Support other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Manager
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Comfortable working with seafood and in a seafood-focused kitchen
- Be able to do dishes with a 2 sink / dishwasher system
- High tolerance for repetition and strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality
- Self-motivated with the ability to maintain urgency and momentum throughout your shift
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic food handling and preparation knowledge
- Must be available on weekends/holidays

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
