Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Fire Alarm Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career within the fire protection industry. The successful candidate will support customers by preparing quotations, reviewing inspection deficiencies, assisting with fire alarm system design and estimating, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver responsive and accurate solutions.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and submit quotations for fire alarm deficiencies, repairs, upgrades, and new projects
- Review inspection reports, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop accurate proposals
- Learn to design and build Notifier fire alarm systems for new construction and retrofit opportunities
- Communicate with customers regarding deficiencies, code requirements, scope of work, and pricing
- Coordinate with inspection, service, and operations teams to confirm labour, materials, and scheduling requirements
- Follow up on quotations, support project handoff, and maintain project documentation
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through timely and professional communication
- Perform additional administrative and office duties as assigned
Success Factors
- Postsecondary diploma in Fire Protection, Engineering Technology, Electrical, Construction, or a related field is considered an asset
- Previous fire alarm or fire protection industry experience is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret building drawings and specifications is considered an asset
- This is an entry-level opportunity suited for someone looking to start a career in the fire protection industry, or for someone with field experience seeking to transition into an office-based technical sales role
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn technical systems and processes
