Overview
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and qualified Swim Instructors and Lifeguards to join our team. This role involves teaching private swim lessons at clients’ homes while ensuring a safe and engaging experience for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
Role
- Teach private and small-group lessons at clients’ pools
- Work with kids, teens, and adults (beginners to advanced)
- Create clear, progressive lesson plans and give brief progress updates
- Maintain a safe, positive, and professional environment

Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver swim lessons tailored to individual skill levels
- Ensure the safety of all participants at all times
- Provide constructive feedback to swimmers and parents
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude
- Travel to various residential locations in Kamloops
Qualifications
- Prior experience in teaching or instructing swimming, 2yr required.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques confidently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of varying ages and skill levels
- Passion for teaching, water safety, and fostering a positive learning environment
- Certification in First Aid - CPR/AED, National Lifeguarding, & Swim Instructor
- Strong water safety skills and confident with different levels
- Reliable transportation and professional communication
- Peak-time availability (after school, evenings and/or weekends)
Licence/Certification:
- CPR Certification (required)
- Liability Insurance? If no, ask me how. (required)
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor (required)
- Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard (required)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
