About the Role
As a Millwright/ Maintenance Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our production operations. You’ll maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and optimize machinery to reduce downtime and prevent hazards. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will keep our facility running at peak performance.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Follow structured PM schedules and identify mechanical weaknesses or parts issues early.
- Track spare‑part usage and support reorder planning to maintain proper inventory.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and help maintain accurate service records.
- Lock‑out, dismantle, adjust, connect, secure, assemble, and test machinery as required.
- Fabricate or modify parts when needed—especially when replacements aren't readily available.
- Support boiler inspections and perform water testing and chemical adjustments.
- Work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation and occasional weekend work.
- Travel to off‑site locations for maintenance or repairs when required.
- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned.
We rely on you to champion a safe work environment. You will:
- Ensure proper PPE use, safe work practices, and compliance with lock‑out/tag‑out, hot work, confined spaces, working at heights, and related procedures.
- Mentor and guide workers on safe practices and warn of potential hazards.
- Verify guards and protective devices are in place and functioning.
- Complete and submit safety forms, inspections, and hot‑work permits.
- Promote full adherence to all company Health & Safety policies.
- Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy workplace.
- Lead by example and uphold excellent housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
- Certified Red Seal Millwright (strong asset)
- 3+ years of maintenance or industrial experience
- Valid Class G Driver’s License
- Clean Driver’s Abstract & Background Check
- Strong general maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- AutoCAD experience (an asset)
- Bilingual French/English (an asset)
- Comfortable working in dusty, warm, or cold conditions
