VIP Pool & Bar is looking for a reliable, organized, and experienced Cook to join our team. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage kitchen operations during their shift, prepare food consistently, and maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, can handle multiple orders in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage full kitchen operations during scheduled shifts, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and order coordination.
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency, quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Prepare and hand-stretch pizza dough to create fresh, high-quality pizzas.
- Open and close the kitchen independently, including prep work, cleaning, equipment checks, and daily operational setup.
- Handle multiple food orders at the same time while ensuring accurate and timely service.
- Monitor inventory and stock levels, and assist with ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, prep areas, and workstations.
- Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure proper food handling, temperature control, labeling, storage, and rotation.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or equipment issues.
- Work with minimal supervision while staying organized, reliable, and professional.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen duties during a shift.
- Experience preparing pizza dough and hand-stretched pizzas is an asset.
- Strong understanding of food safety, cleanliness, and proper food handling.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift kitchen supplies when needed.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a bar, restaurant, lounge, sports bar, or entertainment venue is an asset.
- Experience with inventory control and kitchen opening/closing procedures is an asset.
