Position Overview
The Cabinet/Drawer Builder will play a critical role in crafting high-quality cabinets and drawers. They are detail-oriented, skilled with hand tools, and value producing high-quality work. They will be responsible for building, assembling, and picking parts for both cabinets and drawers.
What You'll Do
- Build and assemble cabinets and drawers according to design specifications and company standards
- Interpret digital sketches, and design specifications to guide the construction process
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ensures high quality control with an attention to detail by making any necessary adjustments to maintain consistency
- Recognize and address or report any potential/detected safety, deterioration, repair needs and maintenance needs to lead hand or Supervisor
- Function independently, as assigned, or as part of a team in completing orders as necessary
- Perform other duties as required
What You Bring
- Previous cabinetry building experience is preferred but not required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a cabinet shop environment, is preferred but not required
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and above average attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and interact well with employees in all departments
- Demonstrated ability to consistently produce quality product under pressure situations and changing deadlines
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills to address construction challenges and ensure quality results
Education
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent preferred but not required
