Responsibilities
- Decorate cakes and baked goods with precision and artistic flair, adhering to customer specifications and presentation standards
- Prepare a variety of food items, including baked goods, pastries, and other desserts, following established recipes and food safety guidelines
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, assembling, and packaging products for sale or delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing work surfaces and equipment regularly
- Handle food products safely in accordance with food handling regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about ingredients or dietary considerations
- Ensure all baked goods are produced efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Follow proper packaging procedures to preserve freshness and presentation of products
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cake decorating or bakery work is highly preferred
- Restaurant experience or food industry background is a plus
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking, and cooking methods
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience including food packaging and presentation skills is desirable
- Passion for baking, culinary arts, and creating visually appealing desserts
