We are looking for 3 passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educators to join our team.
We are hiring at 3 different locations- Pickering, Ajax and Whitby.
Hours- Split Shift 6.5 hours per day. Hours are 6:30-10:00am AND 3:00-6:00PM Shift may change depending on the needs of the centre. Will work a straight shift during all school closure days.
The Ajax location is 7 hours per day split shift 6:30-9:00 and 1:30-6:00 daily.
Experience working with and planning programming for Kindergarten and School Age children between the ages of 4-12 is an asset.
Start Date for these position varies from Aug 17-September 8 depending on the site the successful candidates are hired for.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Based on children's developmental goals and interests, you will plan and implement engaging activities and lessons that foster children's growth and development for children ages 4-12.
Under the direction of the Supervisor you will work closely with all employees in the organization to help plan and develop age-appropriate programs to enhance the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional develop according to Organization’s program statement and philosophy and the Child Care Early Years Act, using Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT), and How Does Learning Happen?, Quality First and Public Health Guidelines Registered Early Childhood Educators are expected to develop and maintain professional relationships with families.
Requirements:
- A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education
- Current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Experience working with kinder and/or school age children
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Two Step TB test & Up to Date Immunizations
- Knowledge of child development (How Does Learning Happen? DROC, ELECT and best practices in early childhood education)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
$31.41 per hour (this is inclusive of a split shift bonus and wage enhancement)
