The Fiberbuilt Team
The team at Fiberbuilt is responsible for developing new products and systems to enable Fiberbuilt’s continuing growth and success in commercializing new technology in the pipeline industry. The Pipeline Field Operations and Analysis group at Fiberbuilt is responsible for the delivery of pipeline inspection services through the deployment of Fiberbuilt’s new pipeline inspection technologies across North America.

IMU DATA ANALYST
Fiberbuilt Manufacturing is seeking an early to mid-career IMU Data Analyst to join our Pipeline Inspection group.
In this role, the IMU Data Analyst will be primarily involved in analysis of IMU data, interpretation of the analysis results, and reporting these results to the customer. The IMU Data Analyst will have the following responsibilities:
- Represent Fiberbuilt Pipeline in a professional manner to the customer in all interactions
- Communicate with customer representatives to review analysis and reporting deliverables
- Perform IMU data analysis tasks
- Follow established procedures and assist in the development of new procedures as required
- Work with Field Personnel and customer representatives to ensure the quality of data gathered
- Oversee field-level DQA checks per the established procedures
- Perform analyst-level data quality assessments
- Document and report all data analysis-related costs, on a pipeline project basis
- Perform and document calibration and function tests of pipeline inspection tools
- Perform and document pre-inspection function tests of pipeline inspection tools
- Learn and demonstrate proper tool assembly and handling procedures
- Learn and demonstrate proper data analysis and reporting procedures
- Actively seek and participate in professional development/learning opportunities as they arise·
The role:
- This is an early to mid-career technical position.
- Combination of office (80-90%), shop (10-20%), with the occasional field visit
- The candidate is expected to actively engage in and participate in job-related training with Fiberbuilt’s senior engineering staff
- The candidate is expected to develop significant subject matter expertise in IMU data analysis, interpretation, and reporting

Education and Experience Requirements
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related technical field
- 1-2 years in data analysis and reporting
Previous Experience in any of the following is an asset:
- Technical writing and presentation skills
- Analysis and interpretation of raw sensor data
- Programming
- Physics-based modeling physical processes and sensor responses
- Pipeline inspections or pipeline operations
- Working Safely in Oilfield Environments
Required Certifications:
- Able to achieve and maintain relevant field tickets (PST, H2S Alive, First Aid, etc.)
- Alberta Class 5 Drivers License, and maintain a clean driver abstract
- Valid passport for international travel, primarily to USA

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,893.64-$103,102.95 per year
