Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models using advanced schematics and technical manuals
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to execute repairs accurately and efficiently
- Conduct heavy lifting and mechanical work that requires physical strength and endurance to handle large components safely
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and documentation for each vehicle serviced
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures, including welding and heavy lifting tasks
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and system calibrations
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to ensure excellent customer service
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance
- Dealership experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems and protocols
- Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques and the use of various power tools required for repairs
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and electrical components
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate repair processes and build customer trust
