About Us
Novelia Psychotherapy and Counselling Services, located within Novelia Wellness in Barrie, is an expanding private practice offering compassionate, client-centered mental health care. We are currently growing our multidisciplinary team of psychotherapists and social workers dedicated to supporting individuals, children, adolescents, couples, and families.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with specialized experience working with children, adolescents, and families. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic services in a collaborative, supportive clinical environment alongside other mental health professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents
- Facilitate family therapy sessions as needed
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with other clinicians within a multidisciplinary team
- Support clients experiencing a range of emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns
- Participate in case consultations and team meetings
Qualifications
- Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
- Minimum Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Must hold independent professional liability insurance
- Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, attachment-based, trauma-informed care)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assets (Considered an Advantage)
- Experience in private practice or community mental health
- Training in play therapy or child-focused modalities
- Experience working with complex family dynamics or trauma
- Bilingualism

Pay: $90.00-$120.00 per hour
