Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver/Mover to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and assisting with all aspects of the moving process, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, communicates effectively, and is physically capable of handling heavy lifting tasks.
Candidates must be able to drive a 5-ton truck and have their own vehicle. Wages will be based on experience.
Duties
- Operate moving trucks and other vehicles safely while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload items from trucks, ensuring that all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Assist in packing and unpacking items for customers during the moving process.
- Communicate with customers regarding their needs and provide updates throughout the moving process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and vehicles used for transporting goods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of moving tasks.
- Utilize forklifts when necessary to move heavy items within the warehouse or during loading/unloading processes.
Experience
- Ability to drive a 5-ton manual truck
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Previous experience in moving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with customer service principles and effective communication skills is essential.
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and support within a team environment.
