EVENT SERVER – Job Description
ANGUS GLEN GOLF CLUB LTD.
TERMS: Part-Time Seasonal (April – December)
DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage - Events
SHIFT: All Shifts – Various (Morning, Afternoon and Evening, including Weekends and Holidays)
REPORTING TO: Food & Beverage Manager – Events Operations
Responsibilities
· Provide quick, attentive, and friendly service to all guests
· Deliver meals to guests and respond promptly to any inquiries or special requests
· Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items and clearly describe each dish when presenting it to guests
· Take ownership of assigned tables, sections, and buffet stations, ensuring Angus Glen service standards are consistently met and guest expectations are exceeded
· Always recognize and accommodate guests with special requests with professionalism and care
· Respond to and resolve guest service issues promptly and effectively
· Show enthusiasm in all tasks performed
· During receptions, continuously clear dirty glasses, plates, and garbage from the reception area using a bar tray
· Be aware of guests’ alcohol consumption and notify a supervisor if signs of intoxication are observed
· Prepare and organize food stations in accordance with company policies and safe food handling guidelines
· Ensure assigned table settings meet hospitality standards and comply with health and safety regulations
· Communicate with the Supervisor to confirm all Final Prep tasks are completed, including icing waters, preparing butter plates, polishing plates and cutlery, and preparing necessary condiments
· Set up, move, and stack tables and chairs as required
· Maintain clear communication with supervisors, team members, clients, and vendors as needed
· Ensure all workstations remain clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift
· Perform general cleaning duties, including removing trash and sweeping and mopping service and kitchen areas
· Complete all other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor
