Job Duties
- Coordinate and support treasury and accounting activities, including cash flow monitoring, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and bank transactions.
- Provide financial data and analysis to the Controller and management team to support business decisions.
- Assist with budgeting, expense monitoring, and communication with department leaders regarding spending and reporting.
- Maintain accurate and complete supporting documentation for all accounting and financial activities.
- Support the preparation and review of financial reports and statements.
- Ensure month-end close activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Record business transactions, process accruals and adjustments, reconcile accounts, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and general Ledger account reconciliations.
- Support year-end working papers and assist with internal and external audits as needed.
- Collect, interpret, and report financial data to management.
- Process and enter invoices, match invoices with purchase orders, and verify accuracy.
- Prepare monthly accounting submissions and government remittances.
- Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements in accordance with applicable Canadian regulations.
- Contribute to process improvements and support the finance team with other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 4–6 years of accounting experience preferred; more experienced candidates are also welcome to apply.
- Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles (ASPE/IFRS knowledge is an asset).
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting.
- Understanding of financial concepts such as discounts, interest rates,, taxes, budgets, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic.
- Bilingual in English and Korean is a strong asset.
