SALES MANAGER

As a proven sales professional, the Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities that drive revenue and market share for Wall Centre Hotels. Through strategic prospecting, meaningful client engagement, industry networking, and participation in trade shows and community events, this individual will build strong client relationships while actively pursuing new accounts. The successful candidate is energetic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accountability, collaboration, and achieving measurable sales targets are expected.
This role is responsible for driving group business through a proactive and disciplined sales approach, leveraging an established client network while continually expanding new business opportunities. Working closely with Marriott's Global Sales Organization, National Sales Offices, Account Directors, and proprietary sales systems, the Sales Manager will maximize every opportunity to grow market share, strengthen client partnerships, and position Wall Centre Hotels as a preferred destination for meetings, events, and accommodations.
What your day will look like:
- A strong ability to manage sales activities in a defined market / geographical area.
- Develop a sales strategy and close group business for the hotel
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet / exceed goals, grow partnerships and client loyalty.
- Prepare detailed communication and correspondence with customers through the sales process.
- Ability to set up and execute sales presentations and sales calls
- Prepare internal booking reports and ongoing up to date file maintenance
- Participate in Sales meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related functions as required.
- Collaborate with Director of Sales and Director of Group Sales to develop sales strategies to improve market share.
- Collaborate with Director of Sales to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and attending local events
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide above quality service to our clients and customers.
- Professionally representing the hotel at local trade shows, community events and industry meetings
Your experience and skills include:
- Ability to work with a large team and communicate effectively
- Knowledge in group sales in various markets is essential
- Excellent client service skills, customer and service focused.
- Knowledge of Marriott booking systems an asset
- A minimum of 3 years’ previous sales experience and knowledge is essential.
- Ability to multitask with focusing on goals and objectives.
- Deals effectively with numerous deadlines and constant changing priorities.
- Detail oriented
- Strong communicator: capable of creating strategic alliances, influencing decisions and obtaining support from key stakeholders
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (local trade shows, networking events, exhibiting)
- Must be able to drive a vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $75,000.00-$83,000.00 per year
