Trojan Safety is looking for experienced H2S Safety Specialist/Confined Space Rescue personnel. Being local to GP would be an asset.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety briefings about H2S and other hazards
- Set up and monitor gas detection equipment
- Organize, lead, and assist in emergency rescue operations
- Monitor crews wearing SCBA/SABA
- Participate actively in site safety meetings and hazard assessments
- Ensure regulatory compliance with health and safety policies on site
- Maintain accurate head counts and site access control for emergencies
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- H2S Alive - Trojan will supply
- Standard/Intermediate First Aid - Trojan will supply
- Confined Space Entry and Rescue - Trojan will supply
- CSO - Trojan will supply
- Valid Class 5 DL with clean abstract
- Some experience in oil and gas preferred but willing to train the right candidate
- Must be able to confidently haul a trailer
Physical & Work Requirements:
- Maintain a reasonable level of fitness
- Able to stand long periods and work in adverse weather
- Work long hours, including multiple shifts, nights and rotations
- Capable of physically performing rescues
Pre-employment D&A testing is required. You will be asked to provide a drivers abstract and a copy of your tickets.
