About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized Beef Marketing Specialist to fill a 6 month, temporary vacancy and support the growth of the Semex Beef program through marketing coordination, digital content development, and product support.
What You Will Do:
Marketing Support

Develop content for newsletters, social media, brochures, catalogues, and advertisements

Coordinate beef content for the Semex website and digital platforms

Assistwith video production, photography coordination, and promotional materials

Coordinate trade show displays andparticipatein select industry events

Support the preparation of the beef marketing budget
Product Support

Respond to breeder inquiries and provide technical product support

Assistwith tours, product launches, and distributor communications

Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing and sales tools such as SemexGO
-
Assistwith collecting and preparing materials for product releases
What You Need to Succeed:

Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Marketing, Communications, Animal Science, or related field

Strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills

Knowledge of the beef industry and beef genetics considered an asset

Experience with social media, digital marketing, and content creation preferred

Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across teams

Work Location & Minimum Pay Rate
This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Guelph location, on a 6 month contract, to provide temporary support during a leave of absence. This position offers a minimum starting wage of $31.00 / hour with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.
