Job Summary
100 plus Restaurant and Juice bar is looking for an expert cook specializing in South Indian Cuisines. Must have hands on experience cooking Dosa, Biryani and other popular dishes. Part time Position currently for 5 pm to 9 pm Tuesday to Sunday but will soon be full time. Must be hard working , dedicated individual. Pls. come and see us at 10 plus witha resume and appointment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, rasam, and rice specialties with precision and authenticity
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation, proper food handling, and adherence to safety standards
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with food safety regulations
- Lead team members by providing training on cooking techniques, presentation standards, and hospitality best practices
- Oversee food service during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes to guests
- Maintain consistent quality control by tasting dishes and adjusting seasoning or techniques as needed
- Foster a positive kitchen environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience in South Indian cuisine with a strong portfolio of traditional recipes and modern adaptations
- Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting with team management responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques specific to South Indian dishes
- Hands-on experience in food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen operations within the food industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively
- Strong understanding of restaurant management principles including inventory control and customer service standards
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Passion for authentic South Indian cuisine coupled with a commitment to quality and hospitality excellence
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
