About the Role:
Dynamic Millwrights Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsperson / Agricultural Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in mechanical design and a passion for agricultural applications. You will play a key role in designing, modeling, and improving equipment to support efficient and high-quality fabrication.
Responsibilities:
· Review project documents and collaborate closely with Project Managers to clearly define design requirements
· Develop detailed models and submittal drawings from specific design documents for mechanical, agricultural, and miscellaneous components using CAD software (SolidWorks, Draftsight, PDM)
· Modify and enhance existing designs to improve equipment performance, reduce operational issues, and minimize production errors
· Review, research and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
· Prepare shop drawings and complete work order packages for both internal and external fabrication
· Recreate and reverse-engineer components from existing or damaged parts
· Maintain organized project documentation using Microsoft Office tools
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support additional tasks as required
· Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
· Diploma or degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field or equivalent hands-on agricultural design experience
· Experience in agricultural and/or construction environments is considered a strong asset
· Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar CAD platforms
· Practical knowledge of agricultural systems and equipment is preferred
· Fabrication and mechanical experience are assets
· Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
· Effective communication and time-management abilities
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
· Ability to prioritize ensuring all timeframes and deadlines are met
· Proficient computer skills and strong working abilities within Office 365 (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
