Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight efficiently across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, customer service, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Safely operate DZ licensed trucks for local or regional freight transportation
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties
- Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
Skills
- Valid DZ license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Ability to work independently and adhere to safety standards at all times
