Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in detailed carpentry work, including cabinetry, framing, and finishing. This role involves transforming building structures into polished, functional spaces by applying expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Finish Carpenter will work on residential, commercial, or restoration projects, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise carpentry work
- Install cabinets, trim, molding, doors, windows, and other finish carpentry elements
- Perform concrete forming and rebar installation as needed for structural components
- Engage in restoration projects by repairing or refurbishing existing structures with high-quality craftsmanship
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials
- Apply construction painting, caulking, and sealing techniques to achieve smooth finishes
- Install flooring, tile laying, siding, roofing components, and other surface finishes
- Assist with plumbing and electrical tasks when required for integrated project completion
- Follow schematics and construction estimating documents to ensure accuracy in material use and project scope
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Extensive experience with woodworking, cabinetry installation, and general carpentry techniques
- Skilled in concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, and tile laying
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and rebar installation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project documentation
- Experience with restoration projects and general handyman tasks is a plus
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to finish carpentry is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
