At Stay Home Forever, we believe every person deserves safe, compassionate, and dignified care in the comfort of their home. We are currently hiring Part-Time/Casual Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to support clients across the Niagara Region in home and community care settings.
At this time, preference may be given to female caregivers based on client care needs, comfort, and continuity of care preferences.
We also strongly encourage applications from:

- Individuals with experience supporting seniors and diverse cultural communities
- PSWs with availability for evenings, weekends, and short-notice shifts

Position Type: Part-Time / Casual
This is a flexible part-time/casual position, meaning team members are contacted based on operational and client care needs. Hours are not guaranteed and may vary week to week based on:
- Geographic area within Niagara Region
- Client preferences and care needs
- Availability
- Vacation coverage
- Short-notice staffing requirements
- Weekend/evening scheduling needs
This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible employment within the home care sector.
Key Responsibilities
As a PSW, you may provide support with:
- Personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Safe mobility assistance, transfers, and repositioning
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Light housekeeping and laundry related to client care
- Companionship, emotional support, and social engagement
- Dementia care and support for responsive behaviours
- Observation and reporting of changes in client condition or environment
- Documentation using electronic documentation systems and mobile applications
- Following individualized care plans and organizational policies
- Supporting a safe, respectful, and inclusive care environment
- Following organizational policies related to infection prevention and control (IPAC), workplace health and safety, safe transfers, and client safety
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- PSW Certificate from a recognized Ontario program or equivalent
- Ability to work independently within client homes and community settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation or ability to travel between client visits within Niagara Region
- Basic computer/mobile phone proficiency for documentation purposes
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening (required prior to employment)
Preferred Qualifications & Assets
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with complex care needs
- Experience in home care, community care, long-term care, or hospital settings
- Knowledge of dementia care, palliative care, and safe transfer techniques
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, or short-notice shifts
- Fluency in a second language
