Formwork Carpenter – Concrete & Heavy Infrastructure (Edmonton)
Tech Concrete is hiring Formwork Carpenters for year-round concrete construction on commercial, industrial, and major infrastructure projects in the Edmonton region. Apprentices and non-ticketed carpenters with strong formwork experience are welcome to apply.

What you'll do
- Form, set, and strip concrete walls, columns, slabs, and structural elements
- Work with loose formwork and modular systems (Peri, Aluma, Doka, Efco an asset)
- Install rebar and assist with prefab assemblies
- Read and interpret construction drawings
- Support concrete placing, demolition, cutting, and site cleanup
- Follow all site safety requirements and participate in toolbox talks
What you bring
- Formwork experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction
- Confident with hand and power tools
- CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Fall Protection
- Steel-toe boots and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Ability to work outdoors at heights in physically demanding conditions
Considered assets
- Journeyperson Carpenter ticket or active apprenticeship
- LRT or major infrastructure experience
- Structural concrete experience (retaining walls, pits, pile caps, grade beams, pedestals)
- Blueprint reading
Working conditions
Full-time, year-round. Outdoor work at heights in all weather. Physically demanding — lifting, climbing, jackhammering, and use of power tools.
