Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Warehouse Associate
The Warehouse Associate in Leduc, Alberta, is responsible for processing customer orders in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining inventory integrity. This safety-sensitive role supports daily warehouse operations including material handling, order processing, and equipment operation.
Core Responsibilities
Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move material and load/unload trucks.
Order Processing: Pick, package, and prepare material according to customer specifications and work orders.
Equipment Operation: Operate saw equipment (band saw, cold saw, etc.) to cut material accurately and efficiently.
Inventory Management: Receive stock, verify material, and put away in appropriate warehouse locations.
System Transactions: Receive stock, verify material, and put away in appropriate warehouse locations.
Safety Focus: Follow all safety procedures, perform daily equipment inspections, and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: A high school diploma is the minimum requirement. Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution experience, within a metals, manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Technical Skills: Experience in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes. Experience operating saw equipment (band saw, cold saw, etc.) is considered an asset. Basic computer proficiency (MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience using ERP systems for order processing and inventory transactions. Proficiency using measuring devices and reading work orders preferred.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and safety awareness; ability to follow instructions and work independently; effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Typical Working Conditions
Environment: Warehouse-based, within a branch or industrial facility setting.
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday with one hour unpaid lunch; occasional overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs); operating material handling equipment; repetitive motions; exposure to varying warehouse temperatures and industrial conditions.
Compensation Information - $22.50 to $28.90 per hour, based on experience
