Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity, eye health, and overall ocular function using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other vision aids tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide expert advice on eye health maintenance, including prevention strategies and treatment options for common ocular conditions.
- Collaborate with team members to develop personalized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatric and senior care cases.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently.
- Educate patients on medical terminology related to eye conditions and treatment procedures in a clear, understandable manner.
- Promote optical sales by recommending appropriate eyewear solutions that meet both health needs and personal preferences.
Requirements
- Valid optometry license or certification in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven optical experience with a strong understanding of vision correction methods and eye health management.
- Experience working with pediatric patients and senior care populations is highly desirable.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye health and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems such as Epic for documentation and scheduling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $70.00-$100.00 per hour
