Role Overview:
The Contract Administrator is responsible for creating and assisting with managing legal contracts, including assuring that all parties to the contract fulfill their obligations. This would be in support of a team of Project Managers as they deliver projects from inception through to close out.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring alignment with the Contract Execution and all applicable trade agreements for contract execution and purchase order and non-competitive procurement singing authority
- Development of contracts or master service agreements from standard form contracts to fit project needs, dependent on goods or services required
- Engagement with vendors, consultants or contractors for quotes, estimate or proposals
- Support in negotiation of claims, variations, changes and disputes with contractors in collaboration with Project Management, Legal Department and others as required
- Ensure communication of changes to contracts to all key stakeholders
- Facilitates contract life cycle management from planning to execution, performance and feedback
- Working with procurement lead, project manager and project engineer to setup and issue Purchase Orders
- Creating purchase requisitions and overseeing the approval process and timelines
- Interface with internal departments and external vendors on matters such as cost, performance, progress assessment, payments, reporting, tends, and change orders
- Report contract(s) performance on a regular basis; and
- Complete tasks in Oracle
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Well-organized, fast learner and show flexibility in delivery method as conditions warrant
- 1+ year of relevant experience within an engineering/utility environment considered an asset
- Knowledge of engineering and project document control methods and tools
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity and integrity
- Excellent computer skills including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve
- Good judgment and reasoning skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial approach and the ability to take on challenges in a changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives
- Proficiency with computer systems and applications including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with tight timelines
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong client focus and results driven
Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
