JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Front Store Manager or Post Office Manager, the Postal Clerk’s primary responsibilities are to provide excellent customer service and carry out sales transactions and returns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides friendly and professional customer service
- Carries out sales transactions and returns courteously and accurately
- Maintains a neat and organized postal service area
- Upsells and recommends postal services and promotions to all customers
- Ensures loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to store policy
- Carries out additional duties as delegated by the Front Store Manager/Postal Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- No experience required
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous retail experience considered an asset
- Previous customer service experience considered an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Standing for up to 8 hours
- Lifting/moving up to 50 lbs may be required
- Climbing a ladder may be required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
