Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping Labourer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role involves working on various landscaping projects, including construction, planting, and site upkeep. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for outdoor work, and familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques. Prior experience with gardening, horticulture, or mechanical tools is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in landscape management and construction while working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Operate hand tools and power tools for trimming, digging, and other landscaping tasks
- Use excavators and other machinery for excavation and site preparation
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Perform routine landscape maintenance such as mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and mulching
- Support construction activities related to outdoor projects, including fencing and hardscaping
- Conduct general site cleanup and ensure safety standards are met during all operations
- Assist with equipment maintenance and minor mechanical repairs as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and general construction practices is a plus
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively as part of a team
- Basic understanding of landscape design principles is beneficial but not required
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on diverse tasks within the landscaping field
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
