They support the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and helping where needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand as required.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishwashing station, kitchen equipment, and floors.
Properly load and unload the dishwasher, ensuring all items are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized.
Inspect dishes, cookware, and utensils for cleanliness and cleanliness standards before returning them to use.
Handle all cleaning chemicals safely according to WHMIS guidelines.
Collect and dispose of kitchen garbage and recycling appropriately.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling vegetables, when requested.
Clean kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas as part of daily closing duties.
Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify the Kitchen Manager when reordering is needed.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Help set up and break down kitchen areas during opening and closing shifts.
Perform deep cleaning duties periodically, such as degreasing or scrubbing walls and equipment.
