Matrix HR is currently hiring Journeyperson Metal Fabricators, Boilermakers and Shipfitters for a Shipfitting role high-profile shipbuilding project in North Vancouver, BC
Wage: $59.29/hour plus benefits, RRSP contribution, flight reimbursement, meal allowance and private accomodations provided for non-local candidates.
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Meal Allowance- Paid 7 days:
- Month 1: $107.35/day
- Month 2: $85.07/day
- Month 3+: $56.76/day
Referral Bonus – Open to Everyone
We offer a $400 referral bonus to anyone who refers a Journeyperson Fabricator, Shipfitter or Boilermaker who is hired and works at least 40 hours week.
This bonus is for the person making the referral - it is not part of the compensation.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpreting blueprints, ship drawings, and welding symbols
- Cutting and fitting metal plates and beams using torches, grinders, and plasma cutters
- Tack welding and fitting structural components together
- Aligning and positioning hull structures using hydraulic jacks, wedges, and chain falls
- Welding and reinforcing joints to meet naval or commercial vessel codes
- Inspecting assemblies for accuracy, gaps, and structural integrity
Qualifications:
- Must be a Journeyperson Metal Fabricator (Fitter) or a Journeyperson Boilermaker
- Eligible to work in Canada and able to pass background/security checks
