Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated carpenter or experienced labourer to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of construction, including carpentry, concrete work, and renovations. This role offers an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from basement developments, to decks/fences, and garages in and around Calgary. The successful applicant will be committed to safety, quality craftsmanship, and efficient project completion.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively on various job sites.
- Construct and install millwork, siding, framing, and other varies tasks related to the project being completed.
- Must be comfortable working alone at times and being accountable to quality of work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and concrete finishing.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Strong carpentry skills including woodworking, finishing, and framing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards at all times.
- Prior experience working with basement development, renovations, decks/fences, and garages would be beneficial.
- Willing to train a motivated person who wants to learn about carpentry/construction.
- Must have own transportation as we work all around town.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
