About us
We are a new out-of-hospital, private surgical center looking for dedicated, ambitious and high-energy part-time/casual nursing staff to provide perioperative nursing care to surgical patients. This will include pre and post-operative care positions, as well as circulating and scrubbing in the operating room.
Job requirements:
- Diploma or degree in nursing.
- Must have OR certification
- In good standing with Ontario College of Nurses.
- Will require valid BLS.
- Previous nursing experiencing in the operating room/operating room certification (required).
- Previous perioperative nursing experience (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient in decision making, critical thinking and clinical problem solving.
- COVID-19 vaccine NOT required.
Job description:
- Ability to work both independently and with physicians and management to ensure safe, quality patient care throughout the entire patient experience.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of clients requiring surgical care.
- Develop and maintain client care plans.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with our clients.
- Comply with ORNAC, CPSO, IPAC, Public Health.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fine attention to detail to ensure proper patient charting.
- Successfully able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week
Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
