About the Role
SimplyArt is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and engaging instructors to deliver fun, hands-on art classes for children. Our lesson plans and tutorials are provided, so extensive artistic experience is not required. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, can confidently lead a group, and creates a positive, encouraging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging art classes using SimplyArt's lesson plans and teaching materials.
- Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage creativity while providing clear, step-by-step instruction.
- Adapt teaching style to meet the needs and abilities of different age groups.
- Set up and clean up art materials before and after classes.
- Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, schools, and community partners as needed.
- Represent SimplyArt with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver's licence, with the ability to travel to various program locations.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one before employment).
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Comfortable teaching and engaging groups of children.
- Dependable, organized, and punctual.
Art Experience
- Basic art skills and a willingness to learn are all that is required.
- Training, lesson plans, and tutorials will be provided by SimplyArt.
- Previous experience with arts and crafts, visual arts, or creative activities is an asset but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or camp settings.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification is considered a strong asset but is not required.
- Experience leading groups, teaching, coaching, or facilitating activities is an asset.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
