ONE CARE Home & Community Support Services is a community based, charitable, Not-For-Profit health organization providing supportive care to families in Huron and Perth Counties as well as the surrounding area.
We are currently seeking a permanent part-time (22.5 hours per week) Falls Prevention Coordinator.
The Falls Prevention Coordinator supports program development and provides direction to instructors for the implementation of ONE CARE Fall Prevention programs in both community and retirement home locations. The Coordinator will lead training sessions for instructors, teach proper exercise techniques, principles, and procedures, and lead wellness, health and education programs throughout Huron and Perth counties. This role is approximately a 12 month contract.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with provincial association (College of Kinesiologists Ontario, College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, College of Physiotherapists of Ontario).
- Minimum 1 year of working experience, with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs with older adults.
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practices for falls prevention for older adults.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing exercise programs with other adults and physically able to lead exercise programs.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and proficient in Microsoft Office and other similar software products.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and sue of reliable transportation.
- Current CPR and First Aid.

Pay: From $24.34 per hour
