Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and personable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, interacting with guests, maintaining bar cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. A successful bartender combines excellent customer service with deep product knowledge and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of drink menus, specials, and ingredients.
- Check identification to verify guests are of legal drinking age.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Engage with guests, take orders, and make recommendations when appropriate.
- Monitor guest behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with bar opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and inventory.
- Support team members during busy shifts and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of common drink recipes, mixology techniques, and bar equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and comfort handling money and credit transactions.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and have appropriate alcohol service certification.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with bar inventory management and ordering procedures.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Creativity in crafting signature cocktails or drink specials.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a loud, busy environment.
