College Instructor / Practicum Supervisor – Early Childhood Education (ECE Program)

Job description:
Capital College is currently seeking a passionate and experienced College Instructor / Practicum Supervisor to join our Early Childhood Education (ECE) program team.
We are looking for an educator who is committed to supporting and mentoring future Early Childhood Educators through both classroom instruction and practicum supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
Generally, the instructor will be responsible for:
- Delivering effective and engaging instruction that meets course objectives as set out in the curriculum
- Keeping updated records of daily instruction (i.e. student attendance) and other required paperwork
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum
- Evaluating and assessing students throughout the term
- Providing administrators with feedback on program efficiency
- Completing all paperwork and administrative/teaching/program tasks effectively and in a timely manner
- Informing on-site administrator/ SEA/ Director of issues relating to students, logistics, education delivery or other important matters
- Complying with College policies and procedures
- Delivering courses online/ in class as required
Qualifications:
- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) License to Practice
- Infant/Toddler Educator Certification is REQUIRED
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working in licensed childcare settings
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support students during practicum placements and provide constructive feedback
- Knowledge of BC ECE regulations and curriculum
