Job Overview
We're hiring a part-time Esthetics Instructor to join our team at our Waterloo campus. This is a hands-on role. When you're not in the classroom, you'll be on the floor performing services in our student clinic and supporting day-to-day clinic operations. We're looking for someone who is just as passionate about doing the work as they are about teaching it.
Part-time hours are available immediately at 20–30 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Full-time hours are available for an individual who can teach across all areas of our esthetics program and maintain a fully flexible schedule.
Duties
- Deliver hands-on instruction across a combination of morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts
- Supervise and support students during clinic hours
- Perform services on clinic clients when not actively teaching
- Assist with clinic management duties, including scheduling, client flow, and maintaining service and safety standards
What you'll teach
- Facials and body treatments
- Waxing, threading & sugaring
- Lash extensions, lash lift, lash & brow tinting
- Medical esthetics: chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, microdermabrasion
Requirements
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (required)
- Diploma from an approved Esthetics program (required)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on industry experience in esthetics (required)
- Genuine passion for performing services — you enjoy being on the floor, not just in the classroom
- Strong technical skills and client-facing communication abilities
- Adult education training or 1+ year of teaching experience (asset)
- Availability across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends (asset — more flexibility = more hours!)
Compensation & Schedule
- $21.00–$22.00/hour | 20–30 hours per week to start
- Full-time available for candidates who can teach all esthetics areas with a fully flexible schedule
