Your Opportunity
Drake Property Management is seeking a Live-Out Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of multi-residential properties located in Toronto and Scarborough. The successful candidate will be primarily based at 76 Parkwoods Village Drive and will provide support to two additional nearby residential properties as they are integrated into the portfolio.
Key Accountability and Responsibilities:
Drake Property Management is seeking a Live-Out Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of multi-residential properties located in Toronto and Scarborough.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Perform daily building walkthroughs and report any property deficiencies
- Remove any interior or exterior garbage or debris
- Property parking enforcement
- Continuous community building with residents, property managers, and the property management team
- Complete service requests and maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the portfolio.
- Monitor building systems and report deficiencies requiring contractor intervention.
- Assist with suite turnover repairs and preparation.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Property portfolio garage & recycling
- Light Gardening
- Vacuum / Light Cleaning of Building Common Areas and Stairwells
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Fire and other related Inspections
As Required Responsibilities:
- Shovel / Salt Walkways
- First point of contact for Maintenance / Fire inspections
- Move-In / Move-Out Inspections
- Deliver Notices
- Coordinate and attend contractor visits as required.
- Travel between assigned properties to address operational and maintenance needs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations when required.
- Attending Provider for Trades / Vendors / City
- Minor Maintenance (Common Area and In-Unit)
- Responding to resident concerns and service requests.
- After Hours Response (Investigating an Issue, Disaster Recovery, etc.)
Semi-Annual or Annual Responsibilities:
- In-Unit Mini-Split Maintenance
- Fire Inspections
General working practices
- This is a full-time 35-hour work week, normally conducted during business hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the occasional need to work beyond these times to meet deadlines.
- Travel is required between multiple properties located throughout Toronto and Scarborough, with occasional travel to the corporate office in Vaughan.
- Above market Salary depending on qualifications and experience.

What are we looking for in a successful candidate?
· Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience within residential, multi-residential, commercial, or similar environments.
· Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to complete minor plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
· Excellent customer service and resident relations skills.
· Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Working knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance practices.
· Basic computer proficiency including Outlook, Word, and mobile work order platforms.
· Familiarity with the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), Fire Code, and Health & Safety requirements is considered an asset.
· Valid Ontario Class G driver's license.
· Reliable vehicle and ability to travel between multiple properties throughout Toronto and Scarborough.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and supplies.
· Willingness and ability to respond to after-hours emergencies when required.
