Job Overview:
We are seeking an eLearning Consultant to join our team in Calgary. This position will be embedded full-time on-site with one of our major clients in the oil and gas sector.
The successful candidate will support the writing, updating and development of IBM Maximo eLearning courses. This role involves creating engaging, high-quality eLearning courses and learning resources that drive user adoption and enhance system knowledge across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and modernize existing Maximo learning content.
- Write and develop new eLearning courses and digital learning assets using Articulate Storyline.
- Create supporting materials such as quick reference cards, posters, training videos, and more.
- Conduct training needs analyses (TNA) and gather requirements by interviewing SMEs, reviewing business processes and facilitate review meetings with stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with other Learning Consultants, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain and update the existing course library within the client’s Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensure all learning materials are visually consistent, instructionally sound, and compliant with company standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, eLearning Developer, or Technical Trainer.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience developing system or technical training (ERP or EAM software preferred).
- Familiarity with IBM Maximo is an asset; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience with Articulate Storyline, Techsmith Camtasia, and Adobe Creative tools are considered an asset.
- Experience managing an LMS is an asset but not required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Open Work Permit, Permanent Resident, or Canadian Citizen).

Other:
Position entails IBM Maximo training development and delivery for client projects. Overnight allowance provided for work outside of Calgary. Must have authorization to work in Canada (Open Work Permit, PR or Canadian Citizen).
All candidates will undertake the internal Electra Learning Academy program.
