In this role, you will lead and execute commercial electrical installs, maintenance, and troubleshooting across various job sites. We value self-starters who can take a set of prints, run with a project independently when needed, and communicate effectively with job superintendents, clients, and fellow trades.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduit Installation: Expertly measure, bend, and install conduit systems up to 4".
- Wire Pulling & Feeder Cable: Plan, set up, and execute smooth wire and cable pulls for feeders, branch circuits, and control wiring.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Perform systematic fault finding, circuit testing, and repair on commercial lighting, power, and distribution systems.
- Power Distribution: Install, terminate, and wire electrical panels, transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and sub-panels.
- Lighting Systems: Install and control commercial interior/exterior lighting, emergency lighting, daylight harvesting, and occupancy sensors.
- Blueprint & Schematic Reading: Accurately interpret single-line diagrams, blueprints, spec sheets, and electrical schedules.
- Safety Leadership: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards and company safety protocols; conduct site hazard assessments and participate in daily tailgates.
- Independent & Team Execution: Work efficiently as part of a crew or independently on assigned tasks without needing constant supervision.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 4+ years of proven experience in commercial electrical construction.
- Aerial Lift Proficiency: Must be experienced and confident operating boom lifts and scissor lifts; comfortable working at elevated heights.
- Self-Starter Mindset: Proactive problem solver who anticipates the next step on site and keeps projects moving efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interface clearly with site supervisors, general contractors, and teammates.
- Tools & Gear: Possess a complete set of personal hand tools and basic cordless power tools suitable for commercial work.
- Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record and reliable transportation to travel to local job sites.
Key Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, maneuver in tight spaces, and stand for extended periods.
