LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
Fluent English is required.
Candidates must also be able to: Speak and understand Mandarin Chinese Read and understand written Chinese Communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking students and parents regarding lessons, homework, learning plans, and student progress
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred Relevant academic background in English, Education, Mathematics, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field Teaching or tutoring experience preferred Familiarity with the Canadian K–12 education system Strong communication and classroom management skills Patient, responsible, organized, and student-focused Ability to develop structured and individualized learning plans Ability to assign, review, and follow up on homework consistently Ability to provide regular and professional progress updates to parents Reliable availability and interest in a stable, long-term teaching position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Teacher to instruct students in English, Math, or Biology. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required to facilitate effective communication and support bilingual learners. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching, experience working with children, and strong classroom management skills. All teaching positions are paid, emphasizing the importance of valuing your expertise and time.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in English, Math, or Biology tailored to students’ individual needs and learning levels
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity
- Use various teaching methods and resources to enhance understanding of complex concepts
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure clear understanding of learning goals
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and assessments
- Incorporate Mandarin Chinese language support into lesson plans to assist bilingual students
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is essential for this role
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly preferred
- Strong writing skills to develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials
- Classroom experience or tutoring background demonstrating effective teaching techniques
- Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Japanese is a plus but not required
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse student needs and learning styles
