Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and modern techniques.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative menu items that enhance the dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper sanitation practices.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and accommodating special requests when possible.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices.
- Familiarity with various types of sushi, sashimi, and Japanese cuisine is essential.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
