Job Overview
We are a small high end cabinet shop seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and cabinetry, with the ability to create high-quality custom cabinets and furniture. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Cabinet Maker, you will play a key role in transforming designs into functional and aesthetically pleasing pieces. Installation experience would be an asset. This position may involve travelling around south western BC for installations.
Duties
- Assemble cabinets and furniture according to specifications and design plans.
- Fabricate components using various materials, including wood, laminate, and veneer.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Ensure all pieces are plumb and level during installation.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on projects involving masonry or construction painting.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Install cabinets according to design plans.
- Work independently.
Skills
- Proficient in using power tools and machinery.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools including chisels, hammers, and measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
