Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate EFL School Director to lead and inspire our language school team at LSI Toronto. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, fostering a dynamic learning environment, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional English language instruction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills to elevate the school's success and reputation.

The School Director will be in overall charge of all LSI Toronto operations. TESOL qualified applicants are preferred, but applicants may instead have a background in non-academic management in a school setting.
The role includes:
-Lead the overall management of the school, including academic programs, staff supervision, and student engagement.
-Oversee the academic programme in conjunction with the academic manager or senior teacher
-Manage student services in the school (registration, student housing, student welfare)
-Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance school growth, reputation, and student satisfaction.
-Assist with student recruitment (includes fielding local enquiries, ensuring the provision of the school’s social media, working with LSI’s international marketing and sales teams)
-Ensure statutory compliance (Languages Canada standards etc)
-Ensure the financial operations of the school
-Foster a positive school culture that promotes teamwork, professional development, and student success.
-The role may also include aspects of building management and other duties that could be reasonably expected of a centre manager, depending on a candidate's experience and skill set.
Requirements:
-Proven experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) with a strong understanding of pedagogical methods (preferred)
-Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams or educational institutions.
-Solid budgeting skills to manage financial resources effectively.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage staff, students, and stakeholders.
-Ability to develop strategic initiatives that drive school growth and improve educational -outcomes.
-Passion for education and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
