Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 5 Ton Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, materials, and equipment to various locations while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, communication, and efficient delivery operations to support our warehouse and logistics functions.
Duties
- Operate a 5-ton truck for local and regional deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of goods
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with moving heavy items within warehouses or job sites as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Support warehouse operations by organizing inventory and assisting with loading/unloading activities
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a 5-ton truck
- Proven experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or related fields
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically handle cargo safely
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers
- Experience in moving goods within warehouse environments or construction sites preferred
- Excellent safety record and knowledge of transportation regulations
- Ability to work independently, follow routes efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules or conditions
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
