Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor, with the support of the Logistics Manager, oversees the day-to-day evening operations of the warehouse, working in collaboration with the Production Manager, Production Supervisor, Sales, and Maintenance to maintain operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all employees use personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
- Accomplish warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and applying constructive discipline; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job performance; and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; and identifying system improvements.
- Deliver supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
- Coordinate deliveries by scheduling inbound and outbound shipment appointments and communicating delays or changes to procurement, production, sales, and customer service teams.
- Maintain storage areas by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, and incorporating lean principles.
- Maintain inventory by conducting monthly physical counts and entering data accurately.
- Monitor lift equipment and warehouse racking for deficiencies; ensure pre- and post-equipment checklists are completed; and communicate repair needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Maintain familiarity with applicable safety regulations.
- Assist with safety-related matters, including investigations and return-to-work plan coordination.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership ability
- Self-directed, motivated, and passionate
- Knowledgeable about safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and inventory stewardship
- Ability to set goals and create accountability; leads by example
- Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills
- Organized and able to meet deadlines

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
